This track got inspired by my trip to La Gomera with Twin. We spent several days travelling by van and ferry to La Gomera, and I recorded sounds on the way. Most of the sounds in this track were recorded analog and got arranged later.
It is a song made by sounds of La Gomera. For example, you can hear the rattling of the pods of the flame trees, sounds of insects and other animals.
My tabla creates the bass and most of the drumming. You can also hear the harmonic sansula and xylophone. Michael alias Jagger plays flute and violin. All of these instruments create a variety of sounds which are manipulated with effects. The melody in the middle for example which reminds of singing whales is a down-pitched violin.
It’s my first song from sounds recorded in La Gomera, and more will come! Huge thanks to Twin and Michael for their help and creative input.
